Pacchetto outdoor awnings are very similar to Global Glider outdoor awnings in the sense that they can be added to any existing pergola/patio, completely transforming the space into a much more contemporary looking and usable space. They do, however, have two distinct differences.
Unlike Global Glider outdoor awnings, Pacchetto outdoor awnings are installed to the underside of the rafter, rather than the top, and rather than roll to expand and retract, they pleat like an accordion.
This unique outdoor awning also offers complete control over coverage; simply expand them for protection against the elements or retract them to reveal the elements.
The only reason why Pacchetto outdoor awnings may not be as good an option as Global Glider outdoor awnings is because of the height allowance required when the awning is retracted. As the pleats fall below the rafters, you may hit your head on them if your patio is low or running off your dwelling’s fascia.
